Tournament Description
Ladies and gentlemen let me welcome you to the first exclusive =DG= BLADEMASTER championship ,my hopes are that this event will be a success that has a lasting effect on =DG= members .
Cell 3 will serve as our map for the duration of the tournament and for those of you who are unfamiliar with it C3ll is a dark arena filled with energy swords as you can very well see in the screenshots below.
The matches held during this tournament are 1v1 melee duels ,each duel will be comprised of 3 rounds .
To win a duel and advance to the next stage of the tournament a player has to win 2 out of 3 rounds .
The gametype will be slayer with 25 kills to win and a 20 minute time limit per round .
Only 16 players will take part in this tournament ,the reason behind this is that each of the 2 finalists will have to win the same number of duels ,there will be no easy way into the final duel everyone will have to face the same path and defeat the same number of opponents to get there as ilustrated in the following image .
This championship will only start when we reach the 16 player mark ,if this mark is not reached untill the end of the sign up period then this period will be extended .
If the number of players that have signed up for the event exceeds 16 then a raffle will be organised after the sign up period has been closed and 16 players will be chosen to participate .
The only way to bypass the raffle if we have more than 16 players signed up is to have 32 players ready to take part in the event .
A team or referees will be assembled after the sign up period has ended ,their job will be to make sure every combatant attending a duel follows the rules of this event ,and to organize the raffles .
The referee team will consist of =DG= members that are not participating in the duels as combatants .
During every duel there will be 2 combatants and one referee present .
After the closing of the sign ups a raffle will also be organised to determine wich player will face one another and a match schedule will be issued .
The tournament will be held on saturdays and sundays.
There will be a prize for the winner but untill I get a confirmation from the leadership my lips are sealed .
Tournament Rules
1.A round starts only when the referee has taken his place outside of the combat zone by climbing the arena walls and let's the combatants know they can engage in battle.
2.NO combatant is allowed to climb the walls of the arena ,the combat zone is limited to the arena floor .
3.A combatant must WAIT for his opponent to pick up an energy sword ,once both players are armed with blades the duel can begin ,this will be repeated every time one of the players dies .
4.NO plasma pistol fire is allowed .
6.If a combatant wins 2 rounds in a row than the 3rd round will no longer take place and the duel will end .
7.All referees will wear "=DG=REF" as their tag ingame
8. All referees will wear white Armour.
9.A player is allowed to chose any color except white.
10.If one or both combatants do not attend the duel on the exact time and date they have agreed on then one or both combatans are disqualified depending on the situation.
Responsibilities of the referee
1.He/She must maintain the order and balance of the duel by making sure that every rule and procedure is followed .
2.If a combatant breaks rule 2,3 or 4 then the referee will issue a warning to the respective player ,if that player breaks one of those rules again the referee will award the round to the other combatant .
3.The referee will sight jack periodically both combatants
4.The referee will post the necessary screenshots in a "Battle results" thread that will be made after the tournament starts .
Special situations
1.If a combatant breaks rule 3 and kills his opponent then he is forced to forfite a kill to that player .
2.Killing a referee is considered a violation of rule 3 and is to be treated as such ,to restore balance the referee will give the other player a kill but this will not be followed by a warning or round disqualification .
3.If a player desires to withdraw from the tournament another player who signed up but wasn't chosen can take his place but this can only happen before the first stage of the tourney starts and also if there are more players that want to take the available slot then a raffle will be organised to see who enters the tourney.

Any =DG= member that wishes to take part in this tournament please write "COMBATANT" followed by the number still available at the time of your post here, so the next member to sign up will write "COMBATANT 2" in his comment and the next one will be "COMBATANT 3"
ALSO PLEASE SPECIFY A TIME IN GMT FORMAT AT WHICH U ARE ABLE TO PLAY DURING SATURDAYS AND SUNDAYS!
