Towel Day - celebrated every year on 25th of May as a tribute to the author Douglas Adams, the author of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. On this day, fans carry a towel with them as demonstrate their appreciation for the books and the author.

Cellophane Tape Day (May 27th) - In 1921, a banjo playing inventor went to work for the Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company, known as 3M. Four years later, Richard Drew walked out of his lab carrying the first roll of Scotch Tape. In 1930, he also created cellophane tape.
