Favorite "non-mainstream" Music Artists?

For a while, I didn't listen to any "mainstream" music. Not that I was a hipster or some snob who hated all popular artists, there was just a LOT of "undiscovered" talent out there and it was fun finding new people and new types of music.

If you have any artists out there that you feel are unknown by the world for the most part, give a name and a link to some music!

When I say "non-mainstream"... I mean an artist or band that doesn't have platinum hits and albums lol...

You know, generally unknown people to the majority of the world.

I'm in the same boat as you Voltage. Never been a big fan of mainstream music. I love searching for underground artists. Here are a few real good positive hip-hop/rap artists i have found.

Not sure if you'll count this as "non-mainstream", but I think The Godz are pretty cool. Little band from just outside of Cleveland, if I remember correctly. Not a whole lot of people know of them, so I'll say they count.
