Keyboard suggestions? [UPDATE]
Keyboard suggestions? [UPDATE]
I've been using this crappy MS ergonomic keyboard for a long time:
I want a new keyboard but i'm not sure what kind (make/model). I'm hoping you guys have some suggestions.
I'm not opposed to a Kinesis-type keyboard (just for the challenge) or a Dvorak keyboard (for the same reason).
However, what I am looking for is definitely an ergonomic keyboard suitable for gaming and normal use.
What do you guys recommand?
I don't mind if the keyboard is loud btw.

Re: Keyboard suggestions?
I highly recommend mine.
It's a Logitech K750 Mac Edition, but they make them for Windows as well. Link to Windows version here
Major Selling Points:
-Wireless. It uses Logitech's Unifying Receiver, which means that it's not Bluetooth and takes away one of your USB ports. However, I have had no problems with the wireless connection using it.
-Solar Powered. No need for batteries, this thing will charge and run off of a simple lamp or overhead light.
-Low keys. This allows for smaller key travel distances and (might) increase your typing speed and efficiency. I know I type better on a keyboard like this than one with "normal" keys.
-Extended Numberpad. For work and stuff, it's handy to have if you need to mess with lots of numbers like I do.
-Relatively cheap. I picked mine up for around $50USD, but I've seen them go for as low as $30USD.
Perhaps not the best gaming keyboard, but it's an amazing multitasking keyboard for work, school, and games. No complaints, would very highly recommend.

Re: Keyboard suggestions?
Logitech gots some of the best of keyboards in this century. Go with them. And Stealth I think we recommend a close model!!! Only thing is I wouldn't suggest wirless cuz I would hate to take the battery out of the keyboards and change them out ever so often. I went corded with this Logitech K 740 Illuminated Keyboard It's almost similar to yours Stealth >;D I right now use the K740. Illuminates in the dark too.

I personally use this: http://www.cmstorm.com/en/products/keyb ... ickfiretk/
with Cherry MX Browns. Look at decent mechanical keyboards, they're orgasmic.

Re: Keyboard suggestions?
For me, mechanical keyboards definitely seem best. And Cherry series is a huge step in the right direction.=CE=Spec wrote:I personally use this: http://www.cmstorm.com/en/products/keyb ... ickfiretk/

The second page of this article explains the differences in only the Blue, Brown and Black switches.
I've never used Cherry's that i know of, but I've used some pretty stiff keyboards; I just don't want to have bruised fingertips.
Do you have any issue with rigid keys?
Re: Keyboard suggestions?
I need a keybord with a max of 60 bucks. Any ideas?

Re: Keyboard suggestions?
JOOK, I had absolutely no issues with the pressure required to use this keyboard. It's grand.
Re: Keyboard suggestions?
After searching and trying borrowed keyboards, I decided to pre-order a Das Keybard 4
with Cherry MX Blue switches. It ships later this months and hopefully I'll get it a few days after.
For the past couple of weeks I'be been using a friends spare Model S.

Excellent! Now you won't be using that typewriter of yours no more.A§H»JÓÒK wrote:After searching and trying borrowed keyboards, I decided to pre-order a Das Keybard 4

Actually, the typewriter you've been hearing is the Model S I borrowed from a friend.A§H»Mandalor wrote:Excellent! Now you won't be using that typewriter of yours no more.A§H»JÓÒK wrote:After searching and trying borrowed keyboards, I decided to pre-order a Das Keybard 4
