This copy is my own. Nothing has been moved because I've been re-installing if you read my first post. Also, I have had no updates in the last month except for the usual PC updates.

Do you have multiple hdd's , if so , you could try to install Halo
on the D drive (or whatever drive you have besides C).
I don't know if it makes any difference, but I remember in my XP day's
I had to install Halo on my D drive because it wouldn't run from C ..
See you in the Haloverse, but hey, don't run, you'll just die tired!!

Unfortunately, I only have C. My old desktop and a D, but on this laptop I just have 1 drive.

I went on over to the [CC] forum, and had gt24 help me out. He said
I would nuke every trace of Halo from your system. Uninstall it (naturally), delete the folder it was installed in, delete the save game content (in your My Documents you will find it in \my games\Halo)
After I yet again uninstalled my game, I found traces of the remaining game folders and files and deleted all of those. Then I ran the installer again, and now it works. :D YESSSSSSSSSSSSS
