Help me Out Guyz

Post by A§H»B!LäL »

:hi: :hi: :hi:
I had an old computer in which i played halo and some other games a long ago(2009) , but my brother wrecked it up by over-clocking it so after that we didn't bought a new graphic card, first he blows the motherboard and after buy/replacing that motherboard he blows the graphic card. (blaming  )

Thing is i want to buy some parts for it so i can start using it again. I want opinion from you guys that what card should i buy, I have very low budget almost 300$, i don't want super high end stuff I want a normal graphic card and some other required stuff like cpu heat sink fans , i had GTS 250 1Gb(beloved & RIP) which was good in medium settings .

It has Quad Core 2.9 i guess
8 g ram
I'm searching for a normal graphic card, can anyone suggest me one ?

Do you still have the specs of the old videocard?
If so, look for something like that, you know it will
run ok.
See you in the Haloverse, but hey, don't run, you'll just die tired!!

Do you only need/want a new graphics card or do you also need a new CPU and CPU cooler? If you only need a new graphics card I would go with the EVGA GTX 960 SSC. I've had this card for close to a year now I think and it's amazing. I can run all of my games at max settings and still get 60+ FPS (1920x1080 and x16AA and/or MSAA, etc.).

If you also need a CPU and CPU cooler you'll need to find out exactly what CPU you have so that we know what socket type it is.

A lot of good graphics cards will have coil whine issues when you play older games like halo. The EVGA GTX 960 SSC had some coil whine when I first got it but my motherboard has like 2 or 3 PCIe x16 lanes so I just moved it down to the second one and it hasn't had any problems since. I can show you pictures if you're not sure what I'm talking about.

As for CPU coolers, I still need to know what CPU you have so that I know what the socket type is. I personally have been using all in one liquid coolers for a little more than a year now but those aren't for everyone.

If you want to go with air cooling these three will do just fine, you would just need to make sure your socket type is supported. ZALMAN CPU Cooler, DEEPCOOL CPU Cooler, Noctua CPU Cooler

Its quad core, not sure about socket type, its the first quad core series, quad core that came before i3, i5, i7. I mean when there was not any these "i" in the market.
