There's a 'program' that sehe made that removes chat lag and also saves the chat in a .txt file. He made it for halo ce so idk if it would work on pc but I guess its worth a try.
I've not been able to get the chat logger to work but I think I have the download for it so you can message me if you wanna try it.

I used this to help with the chat lag on CE. I also don't know if it works on PC, however if you're curious about how it works on CE, feel free to PM me. I know a decent amount about it.
