@ Mandalor: You didn't know that meleeing during a reload helps you reload faster? That's an OLD trick my friend.

Just gotta do it at the right time, otherwise it doesn't reload.

For the pistol (and most other weapons) you melee the second the magazine starts to go into the bottom of the pistol.

You can try backpack reloading too. Hit your reload key twice, then switch to your other weapon. You can hear the weapon you swapped out reloading in the background, then switch back once it's done.

I got TF2 the other day, been playing it for a little while. I can't even begin to play on an online server. My connection just causes it to be unplayably laggy.

No, my net is not that bad. I can get good connections on everything from CE and PC to browser based stuff.

Oh yeah, I just read what you asked. It's called a speed reload. The thing that most people (Will) misunderstand about speed reloads is that it doesn't help you reload any faster. It doesn't give you a split second difference to shoot faster. It allows you to scope faster, that's it.

Everytime that I've played with someone and just let my weapon reload the normal way while the other person melee reloads they always are able to start shooting sooner because it is faster than the normal way.

Eh of it gives me faster scope time that's still helpfull when I'm playing on the snipers server. I usually die cuz I can't reload fast enouph :p It sucks when Ive gone on a rampage and die to a slow moving target.
