Correction. When a World power starts annexing territory from a sovereign nation, it creates instability. This is very different.
I wont go too far into politics except to say... Watch what you are being taught. Look for facts, and opposing points of view.
Im not saying the US should intervene...but I wonder if Alaska is next? After all, it once belonged to Russia too, right?
Forced famine comes to mind....
I dont think i voted yes. I TOTALLY AGREE THAT THE US SHOULD NOT GET INVOLVED IN CONFLICT MORE THAN WHAT IS NECESSARY AND THE US SHOULD
NOT GET INVOLVED IN THIS CONFLICT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think we should do something. Coming from Lithuania, I fear for my country. I don't want the USSR all over again...

Shimmer there is no need in conflicting, Alaska doesnt have so much russian population and their rights are respected.Russia isnt going to annex Crimea thats what president Putin told. And again it would be a mistake for USA to conflict with Russia because it will directly lead to world war 3.
Runriot you should have some respect to USSR.Your country would be destroyed by the nazis in the 2 world war if USSR wouldnt help your country.Ordinary USSR soldiers were fighting for your freedom and
many of them died.

America is too weak to do anything. With the support of many Russian speakers in the Crimea and the Ukraine, Russia will have no issue formally acquiring a puppet state.

The russians are currently working on pulling out their ambassador from america. I think its because he is the only source of Russian information Obama has and they know he may tell Obama about somethings and Putin is worried America will get in the war.

Sums it all up------V
It was just to funn xd
I heard on the news that the prime ministers of Germany and Britain have been talking to Putin but he's not backing down. So far from the American radio channel 90.3 or something, they've been saying Putin is pushing for elections in Crimea so that way it can be Pro-Russian and join Moscow and the Federation. Seems like a pretty good idea... anyone have objections? (I'm sure there's some :p )

Interesting report there designates that Russia's annexation has disrupted all previous set up rules in Europe. Straight from the video: "Putin redrawing the boundary lines of Russia". This attempt reminds me of the Crimean war that took place a hundred and fifty years ago. What are the opinions that you might have? (referring to any registered user on this forums :p ). In my opinion hey they had elections ya know! I am not to interested in Eastern Europe. Pro-Russian qq

Redrawing political boarders aside...
I don't think the USA can
afford to get into another
Multi-trillion-dollar war that it can't get out of.
We're barely able to pay our debt as a nation.
When we do it's borrowing from China, print more money, pay a tiny percentage of what we owe
or trade favors with other super-powers who are not as near to bankruptcy.

In the east of Ukraine most people are russian whos rights r violated by the new government that mostly consists of nationalists. They forbide the using of russian language, destroy the memorials to the russian heroes of the 2 world war and after that Russia should do nothing??? Russia is defending the russian people who live in Ukraine, nothing more.President Putin told today he is not going to invade ukraine and make Crimea russian terrytory. And USA should remember that Russia is still a mighty country that has enough atomic weapons to fight with.
Seems like a good reason. This new dilemma reminds me of the Crimean war back in the 19th century where Russia was also defending orthodox Christians in Muslim lands. I'll have to say no to intervention. This isnt American business. Americans don't need to stick their noses in everything.
