Excuse my ignorance, Shine, I've always thought you had to register in advance. My apologies. It appears same-day registration is legal in Minnesota.

It's always on Tuesday (a workday) when most working class American's can't afford to take off.
Too bad many people can't leave work to vote or go stand in line for 6 hours in preparation for it... I wonder why that is...
In my district there are many booths per voters and it's always a breeze getting in and out I can saunter down there in my Birkenstocks, gab about the weather for a minute or two and before I know it, I'm done. However in certain areas "downtown" where it's umm, denser, the ratio of booths to voters is unrealistically small.

Arizona barrios + working class + workday = low turnout.
Arizona suburbs + retirees = high turnout

Voting should be on Friday Saturday and Sunday then it should be compulsory.

In Florida we do early voting >.>
My Mom voted like a week ago as my Dad is doing it today.

I don't know why election day is not a national holiday.
I did early voting almost two weeks ago, and I was the youngest in there. Everyone else looked like they were over 55. One guy, who looked around 65 years, it was his first time voting.

I don't think it gets much more liberal than the Green Party (in the USA)...

gotta say... florida has the most interesting politics

Even if you can't make it to the polls on election day or take the day off from work, you can always apply to vote absentee. It's all the fun of voting at the polls from the comfort of your couch! (or the beach or wherever you may be)

Looks like it's gonna be a tight one in Virginia.

I know I'm late, but Virginia's sitting Senator won his seat back in a tight race after his opponent conceded (even though the opponent could request a recount).

This is the first time in a while that all of Virginia's statewide offices and the two senate offices are held entirely by Democrats. That will be our governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, and our two senators (both of which are previous state governors).
