Anyone here a fan of Ender's Game? I liked the book, but I don't think the movie will do it justice.

Brilliant thinker who inspired the hippy and sex movements. Extremely great man who has been forgotten. People couldn't hurt such a smart man, so they hurt his reputation.

Yep read the book and Bean's story. Movies can almost never get the overall span of a book's story. Actually saw the movie this last Friday and I enjoyed it. It was actually fairly close to the book and the story. Only difference is a number of details were omited from the movie. Unless it was a trilogy or something they could never have covered all the detail that was in the book. But if you've read the book it's easy to follow and I wasn't disappointed. One major change *Spolier Alert* is when Ender was taken to Commander's Academy after visting his sister that instead of the base being on Pluto it was somewhere else in the galaxy near the alien's homeworld. That was a strange change for me. Nor was the dissapointed pilot that now would be stuck out in deep space duty because no one can leave Commander's Academy after visiting. Also the detail about Ender training to be strong and his own private training sessions with his friends was not included. The advancement of his army and decimation of the others was really brief. Wait a minute! Maybe I didn't like the movie :o
Anyway books to a story made into a movie are always classic and should be read. Though I still refuse to read the Harry Potter books in this lifetime ;)
