I honestly think Putin just wants Crimia and Ukraine.....

Yes there are people protesting, but its easy enough to send agents in and wipp up the population to rebel. I think Putin wants territory. Though I do think Ukraine handled this wrong by responding with force. As well, the missile fired at the plane is high tech stuff both to set up and operate. You don't just launch a missile straight up at 33,000 ft, and expect to hit it. You need a fair amount of both equipment and experience to operate. I don't think everyday run of the mill rebels would be able to operate it, and hit this plane on the first shot.
