I have tried many times now and I can't get CE to install and work. All I get is the splash screen that flickers. I have re-installed a number of times. Have run the exe as administrator. Have uninstalled and cleaned out my registry. I even stood on my head once.

Any ideas? Running Win 7 x64 16GB ram

Did you try to run it in XP SP 3 compat mode?

Found these few tidbits online:

Delete all .bik files from the game directory and check whether the game launches or not. Do this after restarting your machine

Are you able to get into the Settings prompt? If so,

make sure you have AA disabled for halo CE.

I would also update your video card drivers AND install the 1.09 patch - http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=4987

try those and let us know, i had similar issues. and almost all of it from what i remember was compatibility issues due to my win7.

Fixed! Went back and reset all my graphic card controls to default and it works now. Must have been fooling around with the card settings at one point.
