Xfire Help: Xfire won't count Minecraft hours

Alright I can get into Minecraft and I can play all I want, even when I have xfire on. But while I'm playing, on xfire it won't say I am playing minecraft. I can play as many hours as I'd like but it won't add hours nor will it say I am playing. I've tried reinstalling xfire, I've tried logging off and re logging, and I've tried updating Xfire. Still searching for answers. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Is the game listed as an installed game in your XFire? Sometimes you have to manually detect a game in your XFire.
Tools > Options > Games > Not Installed; then scroll find game and enter where it is installed on your hard drive. That should fix the problem. :thunbsup

It says that I can launch it straight from xfire. Which I did. I tried manually detecting it but its already detected I guess. I believe it is already detected. Hmmmm. Still searching. Thanks for idea.

Are you using the client from the minecraft site or is it some other client? I had been using a cracked client until a month ago maybe and xfire didn't count my hours until I started using the client from the minecraft/mojang site.

No. I am using the client straight from the minecraft website. I swear Xfire could count my hours at least 5 weeks ago, maybe less, but since then it doesn't seem to want to work. I reinstalled xfire again today. No success there. Thankyou though WillRok

Fixed the problem. If anyone else is having problems with the new minecraft launcher, then xfire me.
