The A§H Clan

Well I've had this idea in my head for a while. I've been working on some summer assignments and have finally achieved the all powerfull enlightenment stage. [If anyone has seen "Dawn of the Dead" then they know what I speak of]. In Minecraft I plan to recreate the entire shopping mall from the film "Dawn of the Dead" Sounded like a good plan but its quite a lot of work. Many other people have tried to finish the mall in minecraft, but none have yet to succedd..... <_<

Does anyone have any advice on building real life structures in minecraft? Or actually does anyone know a good program to edit in game? I've searched all over the internet and find the volume of possibilities for in-game programs.... to much

I mean the building is mainly symmetrical and squarish but I would be dead beat tired if I had to add that many blocks. Sounds crazy but this mall is literally the size of a real size mall. It has 2 floors, 3 department stores, +100 smaller stores in it, a basement, boiler room, annex, and the loft. Plus a roof I forgot to add..... I would ask for help in-game but I tend to just enjoy working alone (like the nite owl....)

I know nothing about minecraft but Dawn of the Dead is my favorite movie. Hope you can figure out how to do this it would be cool
If you do I might have to break down and actually get minecraft just so I could see this.

Thanks Xoth. I didn't know you loved the films!!!! I've seens all the Romoreo films (just the classic trilogy) and they are epic! But yeah I plan to create it all. Once done I'll try starting an xfire broadcast to show it to you. :thunbsup

Oh yeah those movies are classics. The first Dawn of the Dead is pretty funny when related to current times. Such an old movie now. Cool, don't forget to invite me to this when you finish.

I've got Minecraft and am up for helping you out if you need any help. But I haven't seen the films.

Oh, and if you're really lazy to add the blocks, a good mass block adder would be Single Player Commands where you can use World Edit. If you're on a server, you would need OP/Admin to have the world edit.

If you need any help with getting used to the commands, I can explain them to you in TS3

Hey thanks bros. And thank you Asi for the idea of world edit. Turns out I've decided to download it right now and it works perfect! Thanks. Just what I needed. Right now I am in the thinking stage of what blocks to use for the construction. Thank you for the aid Stealth and Asi. And Xoth, you will see some pictures of the mall!
