Interesting how he found me while invisible. He knew exactly not only where to go to but also where to point.
Highly improbable if you ask me.

For the record... I still came in first by a solid margin.

Camping only gets you so far.

I play halo fullscreen at 1440x900 on a 21 inch monitor, and I have my settings so that certain things have a 3D effect, and people that are invisible are a little more visible than normal. Invisible people to me look kinda like when you use useff graphics for halo, so really its not hard to see you (especially if your moving).

I also don't care about capping. Anyone can cap, but it takes a bit more skill to get 100+ kills and only a dozen or so deaths :]

If you think I'm botting anytime, I'll happily record and upload for you.

I have a large screen with lowest settings. I find that doing so makes invisibles much more apparent. What I choose to sacrifice in graphics I typically more than make up for in flags and kills.

again, not for me.

A§H»WillRok wrote:so really its not hard to see you (especially if your moving).
We both know, invisible can be made to be more visible than normal however from across the map you still have to seek it out. Most very good players (as I think you are) would increase their odds by top-down camping as you were in this game, however you were both pinpointing the general location every time as well as the exact location every time despite my invisibility, taking cover and being at far distance. Doing that occasionally or even often is a sign of a good player. Actually I can do it frequently however doing it every time to a single player repeatedly in rapid succession is highly improbable.

You were camping the whole game. That typically results in low deaths and high kills. I had the most flags, second most kills only to you and would have had far fewer deaths if not for your camping (as the majority of my deaths were due to your camping as well as what I think might also be questionable methods.)

This video only lends credence to the notion.... at least to me.

I fear a rivalry has begun!!! :2guns:
@Kelly I don't think Willy would bot. It didn't look like it. Just my thoughts. I mean my graphics are so low it's virtually impossible got me to see invisible people. *couph* cold snap. That's not my excuse. I just flat out stink at colds nap :P I can't even have good render distance.

It looked like a good match by the way. Very fun to see that vid. You both did good. Camping..... cheap move!!! :P I can spawn kill afks if I'd like too ;) But either way good job guys. Like you said Will it does take some skill to do what you do. :)

@Will Remember we still got that rematch.... :thunbsup :awesome:

Its really not all that hard to kIll invIsIble players. I have all my settings pretty much maxed out, and even though those aren't particularly favorable conditions to spot invisible players, with a keen eye you can spot one from a good distance away. For me, they pretty much are invisible, but the way Halo makes people invisible, the area directly behind the player is distorted in the form of a spartan. So even without a radar, and from a good distance away (a scope is even betrer), I see the distortions, pin point the area they are in, track them down and adjust my lead accordingly, and fire off a few shots until I graze or hit them. Once they are visible, the rest is easy.

As for slayer vs CTF in a CTF game, I pretty much kill people. Sometimes I camp, sometime I don't. But I'm also a beast at CTF and can often cap unassisted, but doing it in modded servers is dumb because all you have to do is jump through 4 teleports, walk a little bit, and score. It takes a lot of the skill, maneuverability, planning, and just plain luck out of the equation. That being said, killing people and avoiding getting killed is more fun for me. It may drive people crazy, but then again I don't give a damn lol.

But getting a high kdr does require some skill; provided you aren't running people over, sitting in a tank all day, using heavies, and spamming m2. Even if the person is sniping, theoretically, it should be easy for you to kill him... because he's pretty much in the same damn spot all game. And theoretically, all you would have to do is just go somewhere he can't easily see you and kill him. But the fact that you know where a player is, can anticipate where he will be looking, and still can't kill him either means he can aim better or quicker than you can.

Very true. Thank you for the enlightenment :) I need to get better at tracking invisible men :P

I've actually only used an aimbot one time to gain an advantage, and even then I only used it to find people. About 4 years ago before I was in any clans I used to play a lot of snipers dream team on bloodgulch, and I ended up downloading and using an aimbot to find people, but I was caught less than an hour after I started using it. After that I haven't used an aimbot even once other than for testing which was done in private servers or on a map against ai.

Its funny how in =DG= most everyone said I was bad at halo (even though I could beat most of them), but a lot of you guys say I bot >_>

Talk about your polar opposites ._.
