Hay mate, just seen your xfire message, sorry bud I was in bed lol, thanks for the offer to assist me in repairing my halo, that's much appreciated!

Well the problem is I get a message when I fire up halo telling me that my direct draw is disabled? I have run the reinstall with halo but to no avail. I have uninstalled halo and will do a fresh install later today. I got a feeling I'm going to have to re install my gpu driver.

On a side note I just want to say to the clan leaders that members like mandalor make clans a better thing. He has the right attitude and the willingness to help others is a good quality.

Later fellas

Those are very kind words Pr@3tor and it touches my heart. Truth be told I am not to good with halo problems :P But I just look on google for answers and most sites are telling me your error could be caused by DirectX being corrupted or not activated. Maybe that might be the solution but I am not to familiar with this issue. Maybe someone else can post below some help ;)

We all got a willingness to help eachother ;) Good to see ya man. We gotta fight some more in Heather's :2guns:

Humm, well i in installed my vid card and associated drivers, re installed everything and still the same.
I have run the dxdiag and in 64bit everything is enabled in display that is todo with directx

But, if I do it in the 32bit version it's saying tat it's disabled. I have run the dx fix from Microsoft, but I still can't enable it.

Stumped at the min lol

try running dxdiag
and use display to re enable direct x
start > run > dxdiag

I'm so glad Mandy is making at least some kinds of friends. I'd prefer in real life, but this is good! It shows improvement... :troll:

I used to have problems with directx back when I used my old PC. Same issues you're having- it gave me a grayed out option.

Lots of times it would give me a fatal error saying that direct3d wasn't working when it was enabled and I tried to start the game up, which I believe I traced back to hard booting the computer one too many times. Often if I just restarted the game like thrice it would solve the problem, but I never found a permanent fix.

Best of luck to you, I hope you can get it figured out.
