My day

Left the house at 8:40 to get to an interview at 10 but had to deal with nose picking (not even joking) not so intelligent drivers that want to go 35 mph on the 70 mph highway just because there is snow/ice. Got to the interview 25 min early and it went well but then I had to drive to another town to take a drug test/pee in a little plastic cup (was a little embarrassing). While I was peeing in the cup I had the GPS plugged into a car charger via the usb to mini usb cable that comes with the GPS because the normal 12 volt car plug to mini usb cord that came with the GPS wasnt working. After I finished with the cup I came out to the vehicle to find that the GPS hadn't charged at all (even though it was off and plugged in). So I had to get the map out that just showed the city that I was just barely in so the map didn't show very much of the city (plus the map looks and feels like its from the 1930's). Decided to just try and go back the way I came however I turned left instead of right which got me lost for a good 25-35 minutes in the middle of nowhere all the while with the little needle getting close to the big red E on the dashboard. I passed a few accidents and several cars that were in snowbanks and finally found civilization again but then went the wrong way again. Finally found the right way and I was able to turn the GPS on for about 8 seconds by this time. I finally made it back to my own city and to a gas station (needle was hovering right above empty by this time). So I got some gas, got some arbys, and then went home. So now I sit here with arbys and a migrain but all things considered, I think the day has gone ok so far ._.

srsly tho, a lot of the roads literally had just ice over them to the point where if you tried turning while going faster than 5 mph you would start doing donuts. I saw/passed at least 5 accidents and about 12-15 people that had drove off the road.

That's how it was yesterday here. Everybody's freeezen (like Willy and Shimmer) and I got that nice pool... but nah I don't own a pool. I can't relate to you northerners. Never experienced that kinda weather. Well good luck Will 8-)

what is this ice you speak of? I actually had to put a sweater on last night.
But, in actuality, be safe out there and good luck with everything.

We got a little snow last night. Lots of accidents like everyone said, I saw cars flipped beside the road and on fire.

Luckily classes got cancelled for me just before I left town, so I didn't have to end up in a ditch just trying to make it to class.

Pretty crazy how destructive less than an inch of white stuff can be.

Yesterday it was 35 degrees below 0 in the wind. Tonight its only going to be 10 below. :fun:

For me...it was the new battery just installed. They didnt tighten the cables right WHICH they have now done.
( Yeah thanks ) I believe buying the new battery was so that exact thing would NOT happen but...

All's well that ends well. Will, I hope your migraine gets better.

Spring has to be coming. Or Spyker needs to give us a frozen person icon. o:)

Maybe you should carry some wrenches and sockets and a wratchet in your car so that you can tighten the battery yourself next time :p

I took some excedrin migraine when I got home and then ate while I watched a movie so my head feels fine now. My stomach feels like a ball of tangled up yarn still but a little sleep shouod fix that.

I actually like the snow, and I especially like driving in it, however the thing that really annoys me is the other 99% of drivers that act like they just got out of drivers training.

Glad you're feeling better.

You know how the first snow up in Michigan always has such a high accident rate? Down here in the south, every snow is like that. In the north the drivers get used to the snow and how to drive on it (learning from their mistakes during the first snow). It doesn't snow often enough in the south for that to happen.

I hate driving in the snow down here because it's highly likely someone else will cause you to be in an accident. I don't doubt my own abilities all that much, but I'd rather stay home and watch a movie while drinking hot chocolate than be yelling at some idiot who totaled my car.
