just picked it up today, a 2008 suzuki dr650. im excited, its my first bike

If you haven't already, take the MSF course.
A set of bark busters and some riding gear and you'll be ready to do some exploring.

Nice bike, suzuki makes a decent bike have one myself, but not a 600. This for off-road, city or both? Agree with BoPeep take the MSF course. You get's some good advice and it's an easier way to get your endorsement. I'm looking at a R6 or Ninja 650 as my next one. Have fun, and stay safe out there
