The A§H Clan

It's really frustrating that I've tried a system restore, I've reinstalled Steam, I've reinstalled games, and yet every time I start up a steam game, most of the games I have crash If anyone could have any clues on why this might be happening. So far it occurs in these games:

Counter-Strike: Source
Star Wars KOTOR
Star Wars Force Unleashed

Some others too but I'm to lazy to write them up. They keep crashing as soon as I start them up. It must be steam cuz on my other games that aren't connected to steam, like Halo, they run perfectly

Did this just recently start to happen or have you always had this crashing problem? Do anyway of the games run for any length of time, i.e. Play opening animation then crash or never run at all? Do you ever get an error code or does it just stop working?

Are you running any type of anti virus? If yes turn virus scanning off (for at least a couple hours), verify integrity of game cache on one of the games, turn cloud saving off, completely exit xfire and make sure its not still running, then try launching the game again and see if anything changes.

Well they all start up, a black screen kinda comes on, and on CS:S, it goes black, I hear the music start playing and then it returns me back to my desktop backround. On KOTOR, It starts the music, shows the various animations, and then as soon as the menu music plays, it crashes. No error codes ever appear, it just says "Windows has found a program not using".

I like uninstalled it but it still doesn't work D:

For those who haven't seen yet, the solution for this problem is to disable Xfire In game in Xfire options.
