My name is Muzzle and I've been playing Halo since 2004, multiplayer since 2007.

I started off in 2007 in my freshman year of high school playing in public servers here and there. After joining SoC (Soldiers of Christ) in 2008, I started making more friends and eventually joined a clan called PM (Pro Marines). I became leader of the 50 person clan in late 2009 and grew it to over 300 members by the middle of 2010. The clan started to fall apart after I and the other leaders became less active and we abandoned it in early 2011. At that point, me and a few friends were approached by the leader of the IOC (Imperial Order Clan) clan. They were interested in re-vamping their Halo division and wanted me to lead it. I agreed and grew that division to over 200 members and their largest division in 10 years of operation in under 4 months. In the fall of 2011 I started college and gave up my command to one of my friends. It continued for another couple of months before finally being shut down by the IOC leaders in late 2011. It was a brief but fun experience. In late 2011 I was introduced to HPT (Halo PC Tournament), an extremely competitive group of some of the best players on the game. Names like Osmo, Vish, and others played there. They welcomed my experience of playing in public servers, apparently they said I viewed the game at a different 'angle' than they did, which gave me an advantage over people who had been playing competitively for years. I quickly joined teams there and got a lot better at my skill. The mentality in HPT and in competitive Halo (i.e. scrimming) is to win at all costs. This led me to discover the dark underbelly of HPT: lying, cheating, DDOSing, etc. I was told a story of how a team got mad after they were destroyed in a tournament final, so they got their computer hacker friend to distribute the personal information of everyone on the other team. They hacked their Facebooks, made embarrassing photo memes of their pictures, put their addresses on forums, and all other kinds of stuff. I also saw that kind of stuff happen myself. People took pride in mudslinging and cheating. DDOSing was also a problem, half the games I played ended earlier because the server and/or several players were DDOSed. I know a few people who had to buy new routers.

Despite all of this, I became a part of the community and quickly made friends. I never cheated or did anything 'unethical'; I am one of the few players who can say that. HPT has slowly died over the past 3 years and I have found myself just being in random scrims with other players, including a lot with the large amount of Latinos that now play. I've also started pubbing a lot more and remembered how much fun it is. I'm regarded by others as a nice person, a fairly skilled player, and very good with strategy. My job over the past 3 years was to capture flags and I got very good at it. My methods are more surgical, not just go in, kill everyone, and cap. In my opinion, the fewer people you kill when you cap, the cooler it is.

Anyways, I want to return to 'pub clans' and I know that ASH runs a ton of public servers. I have played in them for months and always enjoy myself. I want to apply to the clan to 'return to my roots' of public server clans and I look forward to getting to know you guys. My xfire is musket93, and my youtube is muzzzle93. :)

PS - to get an idea of how I play, here is my last montage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wFrwVGbtuGU

A man of scrims you say? Interesting. Well I'm sure you'd make a good addition to the clan if you are to be accepted. Thanks for having signed up on our forums though. Few regulars do.

I remember watching your videos before you went HPT. Your videos and strategic skills were always really fun and thought provoking to see. A man of your character and leadership skills is a good fit in a clan. I hope that you do well here and find a family Muzzle. Best of luck to you!

-I still watch your videos btw; always love watching them!
