I'm quite interested in trying out one of these but they both seem so similar. I played an hour of Dota 2 a while back and it was confusing as heck. I tried reading the wiki article on both games and I still don't understand the difference >.> Anyone know anything about the difference?

Agreed XD couldn't get into the games. But I know people who really like Dota and people that really like League.
When I tried both of them though they just did seem really similar.

Not a fan of that game type.

I played an hour of Dota 2 once and I was bored and half dead by the time I was done >.>

i download both games in the past, i play 5 mints, don´t like this tipe of game, and i went delete both, so.. idk.

I personally really hate both equally, a stance that also pisses off Dota 2 and LoL players.. equally.

The big difference is that LoL is a bit more mainstream and has a lot more players. There are fewer things to pay attention to, so there is a smaller learning curve. Dota 2... is... a simulator of what would have happened if Russia took over the world.

LOL is that because a lot of Dota 2 player are Russian?
