This basically happened to halo, not from a sale, but from pirated versions. It's a tough thing to determine. Sales bring in a larger player base which is always good, but it does also dilute the talent pool, and introduces more hackers. I'm in the case of getting the game because it was on sale, otherwise I wouldn't have gotten it otherwise. Now that I have it I like it.

yea, good game but yea there can be hackers i bought it for 25, the next day it was 5 bucks sigh...... lol

I think that more or less, the game will be fine. Mainly because it is a fairly new game and we won't have to worry about having a lot of cheats until later years.
