North Korea "Moment of Explosion"

Post by Travis »

North Korea warns 'moment of explosion' nears

It's certainly not unheard of for the North Koreans to stir up unrest, but it's becoming ever more worrying as to what may happen in light of recent threats. What particularly concerns me is their increasing missile capabilities. They've developed a missile (the Unha-3) which has the ability to travel 10,000km. This is concerning for the Australian's as our most southerly point is 9,600km away from Pyongyang. The threat from the North isn't all that great to us Australians, but it is very real, no matter how small it may be. The Australian Defence Force is becoming ever larger; it's far from the military super power of the United States.

If the Koreans did attack the United States, what is likely to happen in your opinion? It's a very interesting and diverse topic. Some take the threat seriously, others don't; why? Are they so arrogant they cannot see that the threat is real? I'm not particularly knowledgeable on the North Koreans or the Americans, hence why I've related it back to Australia. We have essentially no naval defences which does leave us vulnerable in that regard, but our Air Force is our pride and joy. The Royal Australian Airforce (as do the Americans I'd pressume) display air superiority throughout the year at public events.

The United States Air Force and he R.A.A.F recently performed at the Australian International Airshow which showcased our nation's elite pilots as well as those of the U.S.A.F. With such aerial superiority, why do the North Korean's think they can wage war on the most powerful nations on our beautiful earth? It amazes me to say the least, frightens even.

It would leave the Australian Federal Government in a rather interesting spot if the Americans were to be attacked the North Koreans. As the North Koreans are allied with the Chinese, there is a serious possibility of the Chinese joining the war (if it happens). China is Australia's largest trading partner, the two countries economic relations are exceptional. The Federal Government has increased the political relations in recent years. However, as we still recognize the authority of Her Majesty the Queen, where would our country stand if war were to break? The United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the USA are all strong allies, some of which partake in regular war games with one another. There is a serious and extremely worrying risk of alliances being broken.

Back the original question, what do you guys think will happen if the US is attacked?

Cheers,

Travis

E: The Australian Federal Government just announced that we may take action on the North Koreans. That's all that has been said.

North Korea is doing a lot of talk without a lot of walk, and I guarantee you ... as soon as they fire one missile, we're blowing them off the map. I'm sure, LOL.

The talk is just "saber rattling" with a new leader trying to show his might to those who believe he has any. I do NOT. Yes they have advanced their weapons but seriously no threat. No good guidance systems, not able to mass produce and know that any attack on US, South Korea, or any country is a one way ticket to devastation. He is sitting pretty in a plush little gig as ruler and just wants to hang out with Dennis Rodman and other b class "celebrities". So no threat just disregard any comments as they just want to disturb others with the talk of war. It is like a spamming, team shooting, botter in game there to disturb others but no real skills (power).

From my observation, North Korea is far too incapable of creating something capable of doing anything more than pop a balloon, let alone destroy a nation. On the off chance that they do, they're heavily outnumbered and outgunned. Me? No one hates New Zealand. Except Australia. Ya poofters. xD

And even better, I find 'jajajajaja' EXTREMELY annoying, I don't know why, I just hate it lol
Anyway, Kim Jong Un is an absolute inexperienced idiot, but I don't believe he is stupid enough to nuke America. IMO we should just nuke that place in general, if only China wasn't backing them. Can't risk a war with them, and we want to keep a decent relationship since we perform trade wig them so often and rely on their cheap labor. Lol. the worst I see North Korea doing is attacking South Korea in order to intimidate us and the rest of the world.
