The instrument you are thinking of is the Didgeridoo. I can hear the similarities, but I think this is an electronic rendition of the sounds produced by a didgeridoo.

Today's song from me is a hidden track by the Blue Man Group. The video is quiet, but it's definitely worth a watch to see how they make their music. And I think their sense of humor is funny.
