September 13, 1814: Battle of Baltimore
British bombard Fort McHenry for 27 hours during the Battle of Baltimore. Their failure to capture it is a turning point in the War of 1812. The Royal Navy's bombardment inspired Francis Scott Key to compose the poem "Defence of Fort McHenry," which is now well known as the "The Star-Spangled Banner" (U.S. National anthem).

Today was also the day that the U.S. Constitution was signed in Philadelphia in 1787. I was more interested in the Enterprise unveiling, so I went with that instead.
