I remember reading something about a biologic processor that was invented. If that is true then the speeds will be absolutely un-F'n-believable. The speed of a neurological signal is about 10 to the negative 12. THAT'S FAST! and it does it not by the movement of electrons but with the movement of molecules. It's a little complicated and I don't fully understand it but that is the speed that you brain processes information and sends signals through your nervous system. WAY faster then any supercomputer today.

Lol a processor that fast would have to be able to perform actions as fast as our brains do, sounds very hard to accomplish

Ya, that's what I thought also. One of the many problems with faster processors is they generate so much heat. The problem is made worst when they make the circuits smaller and thinner on the circuit board. This processor was fast because the circuits were biologic not metallic. Electricity is not made by the movement of electrons but the movement of Sodium and Potassium molecules. I don't remember the whole article but it sounded pretty cool. But, 10 to the minus 12 is pretty damn fast.
