But all round best...VIRGINIA!

Very historical in colonial and American history, 1st of the 13 original colonies, beautiful mountain ranges. Birth place of more U.S. presidents than any other state.
Of course Cornwallis surrendered in York Town ending the revolutionary war.
I could go on but nothing needs more to be said.

Of all the states I've been to I like California the best. I lived in Berkeley for 4 years.
The San Francisco Bay Area (East Bay!) is an awesome place to live. The people are great, the climate is wonderful, you can never run out of new food to eat. All of Northern California is great!

Counties: San Francisco, Marin, Sonoma, Napa, Mendocino, Humboldt

SoCal is OK too... Santa Barbra, Monterey, Carmel, San Diego ( Just a 1 hour flight or 6 hour drive)...
Unless you know the right people or the right places, stay away from Los Angeles (THE ENTIRE COUNTY).

Also Jook, have you been to Central California? they have amazing places and state parks and everything. and i didnt discover this until i ended up at school here xD

Also Jook, have you been to Central California?

The parts of (what I consider to be) Central California that I've visited (or have been through)
are Modesto, Fresno and Bakersfield (or pretty much anything along/near Interstate 5).
Some of those were stopping points on road trips to places like Sequoia National Park, Death Valley National Park,
Yosemite National Park.

Everyone should live in California at least one time in their life.

i live along that fault and luckily none of the bad earthquakes have been from that one anytime recently xD
and yeah those are cool but along the coast has beautiful places. state parks like Big Sur and Montana de Oro (and more of course)
Also ive never been to Yosemite but i want to go so badly >_<
