NHL Championship

Now I'm not sure how many of you all are hockey fans, but I sure I am (and Stealth I know you're right there with me!) but all I hear about when I go anywhere right now is basketball.
So I just wanted to update you that the Chicago Blackhawks have won the Stanley Cup! (...yet again.. for the third time in the past six years). It's kind of scary how good the team is; I was hoping for Tampa Bay Lightning to win because they surprised everyone with their wonderful playing throughout the playoffs but it didn't happen :c

But still, the Blackhawks played amazingly and 'grats to them!

Yup. I heard about it. My local radios were buzzing with news about Lightning through the entire playoffs. I didn't listen much because 1) it's the radio and who listens to radios these days and 2) I'm not really interested in Hockey but I'll root for my home teams XD A good friend of mine two years back told me about how the Blackhawks were winning it all, and we were rooting for Boston.

I have heard more about the Orlando Solar Bears than I have about the Tampa Bay Lightning.

XD Soloar Bears is a ridiculous name for a team in Florida. Tamppa Bay Lightning has a reasonable name, since Florida is like a lightning capital of the world (I think Miami is called that xd).


I read the Orlando Sentinel so it's obvious why the papers barely mentioned Tampa Bay Lightning lol. My team, deep down inside, will be you Solar Bears <3

It was a heck of a game six! Both teams gave it their all for all three periods. Lots of very close shots and very good saves!

In the end, I guess I was happy to see Chicago win it. They had some very nice plays during the game, and both goals were very graceful and well-executed. Chicago isn't my team, but with all of my teams already knocked out, I guess I had to root for them since Tampa Bay gave up St. Louis to the Rangers (and the Rangers got knocked out, I was hoping they would actually win it with St. Louis).

I can remember both the last time Chicago won it in 2013 and when Tampa last won it in 2004. I just wish I could watch as many games on the road to the cup as I could back then...
