Best way to increase pc speed

I wouldn't want to do that in fear I'd accidentally delete something I actually needed.

I did that and accidentally deleted my photographs (backed it up but forgot to copy it over to the backup drive...)

Luckily all the important photos I had still on the camera's SD card, and ones that weren't were either n Dropbox, or I could recover them using a program (like my photos of Status Quo <3)

Also, I never understood the hate for Vista; I loved the OS.

Slow, bad security, hard to personalize, viruses everywhere, etc... not all people had a problem with it, but most did

i do this alot, the only thing i use on my PC's is xfire TS and the game, all my music and papers and pictures are all on USB's and an external hard drive. everything is alot easier to do then youd think. you just need to make sure you get everything you need the first time you put it all on.

And i had no problems with Vista, but the comp i was running on was largely overpowered at the time of Vista's release, so it would have ran any OS flawlessly...windows 7 is amazing, and one windows 8 gets all bugs worked out, it will be to. (its still the windows 7 OS, just a different interface )

I use ASC Pro (Advanced System Care) and do a deep clean, also use Malwarebytes to remove unwanted Spyware, Malware and Adware.
Keep your registry clean, scan and defrag your HD at least once a month.

Use "Game Mode" to shutdown unwanted background apps while gaming even a prog like "ram defrag" to defrag your ram before gameplay.

I'm running an AMD 6 core processor with 16 gigs of DDR 3 ram (Kingston) 1333 mhz, on Win 7 Ult. 64 bit, Primary HD 500 gig sata with a 7200 rpm 32mb buffer, and a 1 TB back up drive (sata)
Also upraded my ISP to 60 mb D/L speed.
