Duel monitors

Post by Pr@3tor »

Hi all, just a quick one, I run two monitors using Displayfusion, (have done for years) its good but I have always been annoyed that when I fire up Halo (or any game) it takes ages to up-scale the game and some of the primary desktop leaks over to the secondary monitor. I usually turn off dual monitors when I am about to play games. Any ideas? o.o

I have a 22" LG wide screen that the game runs on. A 19" Viewsonic that has the Rules/macro, Teamspeak, the BOS list, A§H forum, Xfire chats, and a few other minor things and a third 15" Dell that runs the Xfire client. I was thinking of hooking up a 4th 15" monitor to run monitoring software. You know, pings, traceroutes, searching the whereabouts of those nasty botters.

Well first of all, what reason do you need to stretch the desktop over both monitors? Having had two myself at one point, I found it better to have them as separate displays, each with their own purposes.

Who said anything about stretching displays? I use my 26" for gaming, while my 19" has xfire, ts3 and other stuff.

Didn't know that you need an extra program to use 2 screens on one pc. For me it works with windows. Just plug in both screens and play.

most windoze flavors have the ability but ultramon has many shortcuts and add-ons that make power users happy. and i have stretched side by side monitors before for a cinema type movie experience. as long as there is not a lot of edge on the monitors it can work well. set a bunch of people 8 foot away start the party and pretend you are at the movies, lol.
