So, we officially announce the Custom Edition Guardians group to our clan!
For our PÕQ veterans (2010 or earlier), this will be familiar to you all. It's the same concept as PÕQ's old Custom Edition Moderators (CEM's), but the name has been modified and the privileges revised. The Custom Edition Guardians of A§H, also known as CEG's, are still members of our membership rank but now they temporarily withhold limited RCON powers to our clan's servers for training purposes.
The CEG's are allowed access to the now revised and renamed Admins & CEG's forum and all its content except one post, which contains the RCON to our PC fleet of servers. Yes, the only post in the Admin forum now RCON-wise contains the RCON for our Custom Edition servers that both our Admins and CEG's can use as they see fit to carry out their duties in our CE servers.
If you haven't gotten the idea already, here it is: CEG's only get the CE RCON. In order to keep the PC RCON from their view, we've created a new sub-forum within our Admin & CEG's section called "Admins Only" that is locked and only contains the up-to-date RCON for our PC fleet of servers for our Admins to view. Per protocol, the RCON's should never be shared with anyone. They can only be retrieved from their respective forums, which ensures CEG's and Admin's retain the correct privileges to the clan servers.
This group (mind you, it is NOT a rank) was created in order to allow more chances to be given by the clan Leadership to our members to prove themselves as worthy Admins of our glorious fleet of servers, instead of requiring their prior administration experience and other skills they may or may not have.
Unlike CEG's older, long lost cousin, you can not apply for it and do not require it to reach Admin. When the Leaders request another round of Admins for promotion, the potential candidates should apply for Admin. If we find you lack the skills or other concepts of becoming a full fledged Admin, we may add you to the CEG group to give you a learning opportunity to fine tune your abilities for consideration to Admin.
The creation of the CEG group opens more doors for our members in our clan, with many clan aiding opportunities such as Game Manager and Forger now available and more importantly a learning experience safe guarding our most unprotected group of servers - our Custom Edition servers. The Leaders look forward to this new group and the success it's sure to bring to our clan.
