I've loved music since I was born (as have most of you I presume), but only in the past 4-5 years have I payed any attention to the lyrics. Some of them speak very deeply to me, others, not so much. I'm wondering, is there any single lyric that means a great deal to you? If so, please, share it with us.

For me: "I live my life in the hope of a second chance" -Lostprophets

Spec I'll be first to say my single lyric that means a lot to me is:
"It's a long road when your on your on"
The lyric is from the son 'It's a long road', a song featured in the film First Blood. Basically if you've seen Rambo, it's about Rambo trying to fit into society. Great film. Great lyric.

The only lyric that means a lot to me is the whole song "Fade to Black" by Metallica from their album "Ride the Lightning".
Very sad lyrics that reminds me of an good friend of mine.

This lyric from MIKA's Happy Ending song reminds me of the past four years of my life prior to joining A§H:

"No hope, no love, no glory: No happy ending"

mine would be i see stars
way was it so eay to let me go i tried so hard i tried so fucking hard

Oh gosh. I know so many awesome lyrics that hit close to home. There's no way I could pick just one. I could have a whole thread about this and post one everyday and still not be able to write them all down.

I was actually thinking of that specific line when I saw the title, before visiting the topic and seeing who the poster was.

There's bound to be others, but the only one I can think of right now is 'True perfection has to be imperfect' from Oasis' song, Little by Little.
